"I'm trying to understand how I can become more in touch with the sacredness of Earth and to raise my children with the same understanding of reverence and awe."                 -Eileen Thorp

"I feel my mission in life has been one of a truth seeker.  I have found myself, as well as finding the oneness of myself in all that surrounds me, through my work in Earth Spirit's journey. We pick a topic each year to ponder, explore, connect and just be with throughout the oncoming year. We then celebrate these findings of our journey at our retreat weekend, I find the journey of exploring these topics profoundly life changing. They open doors of getting out of my "box," they inspire me to create, be in the present moment, have heart connections with others and connect to the oneness on a deeper level.  Please join us on this year's journey of 'Beneath the Surface'."                                                           --Wendy Wagoner

"Earth Spirit provides a venue for me to inspire and be inspired by others seeking deeper understanding and experiences of what it is to live in respect of Earth and to be of Earth.   It is a challenge to reach beyond the influences of a predominantly materialistic culture to live a genuinely compassionate life making thoughtful choices. While it is difficult, I feel it is crucial to the continuance of our species that we continually work to do so. We look to understand and overcome some of the powerful negative aspects of culture, seeking to tap into the wisdom of humans, past and present, the creatures that share the planet and Earth itself, knowing that we are all one. We must face the challenges which are upon us, learning, changing and growing into a mode of living and being which embraces simplicity and compassion for all that we may live lightly and in harmony on Earth."                   -Diane Meyer

Through earthspirit, inc. we hope to provide a voice for the universe story of which we are a part. We need to tend carefully to the planet, and to learn to love nature which gives us life, and of which we are a contributing part. Our work can be rewarding and stimulating, connecting us with all of nature, including ourselves.                                        -Mary VanGilder

In my life, many of the troubles of my path were immensely eased by the works of Thomas Berry. It was as if I could see after a period of being blind and groping. I am very grateful to him and those who spotlight his works. Come to find out, our particular generation (I’m 65) has been experiencing global destruction and chaos which has affected every thing that exists. We are just admitting the connection of this situation to human choices planet wide. The greatest harm seems to have befallen us because we no longer want or know how to learn from our non verbal relatives (all non-human beings). We have, so to speak, cut out our hearts (conscious and true intelligence) about who humans really are and what we must consciously carry into the future near and far. In the middle of an irreversible extinction of beings, with all there is to do with our short lives, one human discipline stands critical at this time in history: retrieving the ability to sense and ponder each and all that makes up natural earth as a major source of satisfaction and wisdom (guidance and inspiration). The price is taking time away from what our cultures say is more important.                  -Annemarie Askwith

muse:to turn something over in our mind

I muse about the Blue Marble in which I live- it turns,I'm turning Yet I'm not a turncoat but an earthling
Born and breed
Bonded and breathless
At the beauty of us all
Micro and mammoth
Mangy and manicured
Myriad marvels and mysteries
Moment by moment
Turn an eye
Take it in
Be alive
Be connected
Turning and turning 'til all is right.
